years GasLINE will continue to expand its 65,000 km fibre-optic network across Germany, with a total of 5,000 km of new lines to be completed by 2029. Making fibre-optic-based telecommunications networks available throughout Germany is one of the prime objectives of Germany&#8217;s federal and state governments and local authorities. GasLINE supports these efforts by expanding its own network to help push ahead with the expansion of the digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>As the expansion projects get underway, municipalities and communities located along the routes will have the opportunity to connect directly to GasLINE&#8217;s state-of-the-art fibre-optic network. In addition, they can use the trenches dug in their area to install their own cable ducts alongside GasLINE&#8217;s infrastructure.
