GasLINE offers a 'turn-key' service for fibre-optic cable projects, ranging from project planning and installation to the provision of a dark fibre capacity ready for operation.

GasLINE focuses its know-how on the provision of the optical fibre infrastructure. It does not operate as a carrier on the telecommunications market. Since most of the fibre-optic cables are installed in the rights-of-way of natural gas pipelines, which offers additional protection, network extensions are usually quick and straight-forward, with due regard for the customer's specific needs. The 15 gas transmission and regional distribution companies who are GasLINE shareholders do not just operate gas pipeline networks but also a Germany-wide cable network for their own purposes and can therefore draw on extensive experience in network planning, project execution and system operation.
